Automatics Switch on/off in case of power failure?

I have very frequent power failure at my place. When I have power the air conditioner keeps the room cool, but when power goes I have to get up from the bed to switch on fan. Is there a way to automate the fan to start automatically once the light goes. I do have a inverter at my place.
